This morning our unannounced SQF auditor walked in around 8 AM. We started walking the floor around nine. The auditor made a comment about how great the units looked with no icing, no drips, etc. He made a comment to me that he rarely finds a building without issues with units in refrigerated warehouses. He said to make sure you make a comment to your service company about what a great job they're doing. Great job guys! We got a 99 out of 100. My boss said that we were the first to get a 99 on an unannounced audit.

We decided to completely rebuild our refrigeration boxes and install new glycol coils. Kevin came out to meet with us, took measurements of the rooms and did all of the calculations to spec out the proper coils. He quickly got back to us with options of different coils at different price ranges, helped us weigh the pro's/con's of each regarding availability of parts, dependability, lead times, etc. Tyler, Damon & Kevin just finished hanging the coils, plumbing in all of the glycol and condensate drain lines and testing the units. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail is second to none. The new system not only saved us from a ton of headaches but it looks beautiful and performs as well as it looks.

CI REFCO really went above and beyond when we had a pump failure. We really needed this to get done quickly and they had us back up within a day. What a great team to have on your side.

After receiving 2 quotes for compressors, we had to rebuild. We decided to get quotes from another vendor. We reached out to CI REFCO. We followed up with them to confirm the pricing was correct. CI REFCO rebuilt our 2 compressors for basically the same price as their quote for 1. Needless to say that CI REFCO is doing the majority of our work now.

This morning i arrived to a small drip coming from two of our old coils in two separate refrigeration boxes and called CI RefCo to have them take a look. JJ and Damon arrived shortly after and checked in with me, we walked the boxes together and they told me that the pans and drains were backed up and needed to be cleaned. They shut down one box at a time and cleaned the coils, pressure washed the fan bays, scrubbed all interior walls and racks then pressure washed the ceiling, walls and floors of the room removed all standing water and verified operation. While checking out with me before they left, JJ recommended that we clean these out quarterly. The thing that i appreciate the most is that he didn't try to sell me the service, simply recommended that it be done. I asked him if this was a service that they provide and was told they do so i decided to add this cleaning to our quarterly PM to ensure this doesn't happen again. These guys really do it all!

Today we started having issues with our chiller so I called Kevin at CI-RefCo to help us out. James arrived onsite, checked in with me and went to work. He quickly realized that there was an issue with our controller, made repairs and got us up and running. As usual, quick response time, quick repairs and a happy customer. Love that they always go over everything they found and corrected with me before they leave, they also send a very detailed invoice explaining all of the work afterwards.

Our previous vendor was proposing to correct air infiltration which was they claimed was the cause for ice and frost build up in our freezer. The cost of their proposal was $240,000. We decided to have CI REFCO give us a second opinion. After testing the equipment, they discovered that there was an issue during installation. The orifice for CO2 that should have been removed was left in causing defrost issues when using ammonia. After removing it and adjusting our defrost, our system is running better than ever.
